    A tradução consecutiva é destinada para pequenos eventos, reuniões e palestras curtas. Chama-se *consecutiva* porque as duas pessoas nunca falam ao mesmo tempo, sempre uma pessoa fala, enquanto o intérprete escuta; em seguida o intérprete traduz o que ouviu.

    A vantagem é que a Tradução Consecutiva utiliza apenas um intérprete e não necessita de fones de ouvido para os ouvintes.
